16 New York City restaurants that could receive Michelin stars this year

Michelin today teased 16 New York City restaurants that could soon receive their first stars.

The French tire company released its latest additions to the city’s Michelin Guide, a 350-plus long list of restaurants that boast the award organization’s stamp of approval. Michelin adds restaurants to the list on a rolling basis, and the new names can be seen as informal finalists for the star awards at the end of the year. Last December, for example, eight New York restaurants earned their first stars; all eight had been added to the guide in the 12 months prior.

The newcomers to Michelin’s New York guide could also land a spot on the Bib Gourmand list, which features restaurants the company deems to serve high-quality food at a reasonable price.

Today’s announcement marks the first round of additions to the guide for the 2025 cycle. It’s likely the company will add more restaurants to the list periodically in the coming months. There is no date set yet for when the 2025 stars will be announced, though the ceremony last year was held on Dec. 9 at The Glasshouse.

These are the 16 new restaurants on Michelin’s guide to the city:
