TRANSPLANT TRANSPLANT: Stony Brook University Hospital is relocating outpatient transplant services at its East Setauket location. The project entails moving the program roughly half a mile to an existing clinic, according to plans filed with the state Department of Health. The new location will offer pre- and post-operative visits, evaluations, regulatory information and financial consultation. Construction will cost approximately $776,000 and will require renovating roughly 5,000 square feet of empty space. The new space will include seven exam rooms along with administrative and staff space and a reception area.

MRI EXPANSION: Main Street Radiology at Bayside plans to add an MRI machine to its extension clinic in Glendale. The project involves not only the machine but renovations to existing shell space, according to a filing with the state Health Department. The project will cost an estimated $3.3 million, the filing states. The new equipment adds to an existing machine, which performed 5,900 scans in 2023.
