NEW CEO: One Brooklyn Health’s board of directors voted Thursday to appoint Dr. Sandra Scott as its chief executive officer. Scott has served as interim CEO of One Brooklyn Health since January 2024, taking the helm after the board of directors ousted the safety-net system’s inaugural chief executive LaRay Brown. Before leading One Brooklyn Health, Scott spent three years as executive director of one of its hospitals, Brookdale Medical Center, and before that served as chair of One Brooklyn Health’s department of emergency medicine. In addition to naming Scott as CEO, the board also voted to appoint Arthur Gianelli as president and chief transformation officer.
ADA COMPLIANCE: The City Council committees on civil and human rights and small business will hold a joint oversight hearing on Friday on small businesses’ compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The hearing will take place at 1 p.m. at City Hall and will be livestreamed on the Council’s website.
