SWEET SUITE: NYU Langone Hospital in Suffolk plans to open a temporary mobile imaging trailer while it replaces equipment in its interventional radiology suite, according to an application to the state Department of Health. The trailer will be installed in a loading dock next to the building, formerly known as Long Island Community Hospital before a merger with NYU Langone in March. The trailer, which will be added before the current radiology suite is decommissioner to ensure services aren’t disrupted, the filing states. The temporary trailer project will cost the hospital roughly $835,000.

EXTENSION EXPANSION: Long Island Select Healthcare, a Central Islip-based federally qualified health center plans to move and expand its extension clinic in Port Jefferson Station. The clinic, which offers primary and specialty care, will move to a new site fewer than two miles away after failed attempts to negotiate a lease renewal with the landlord of the current location, according to a filing with the state Health Department. The new location will be better for patients because it will be easier to access and offer more exam rooms, the facility argued in the filing. The project, which will cost $1.2 million, will increase the number of patient care rooms from four to seven.

BOARD MEETING: The Board of Directors of New York City Health + Hospitals will hold a public meeting at 3 p.m. on Thursday at 50 Water St. in Manhattan. The meeting will be streamed live on the public hospital system’s YouTube page.
