Trump Health Report Notes His ‘Frequent Victories in Golf’

From Dr. Oz’s on-air pseudo-physical to Dr. Harold Bornstein’s claim that he would be the “healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” weirdness is the one thing you can count on from a Donald Trump medical report. So it was actually a bit unsettling that the results of the president’s latest physical initially seemed … pretty normal?

President Trump had a physical on Friday, as he announced on Truth Social for unclear reasons.

White House physician Sean Barbabella released the results on Sunday in a three-page summary. Barbabella found the 78-year-old president to be in “excellent” health overall. The report says Trump is taking two medications for cholesterol (Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe), along with aspirin for cardiac prevention, and Mometasone cream “as needed for a skin condition.” Trump had a colonoscopy last summer that revealed diverticulosis and a benign polyp. He’s had cataract surgery, but Barbabella didn’t say when.

Trump’s height is six feet three inches, and his weight is 224 pounds — significantly less than the 239 pounds reported after his 2018 physical, but slightly more than the (highly dubious) 215 pounds listed when he was booked at Fulton County Jail in 2023.

The report goes on to say that Trump got every question right on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (the dementia screening he loves to brag about). And while Trump’s tariffs drama is reportedly affecting Americans’ mental health, the president was within normal range on a screening for anxiety and depression.

It’s a great health report for a 78-year-old with a passion for fast food and bizarre ideas about how exercise will kill you. But where are the over-the-top declarations about the dear leader’s superior physical and mental toughness?! Finally, Barbabella gives us a tiny shot of Trumpian exaggeration in the final paragraph on page three:

President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function. His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being. President Trump’s days include participating in multiple meetings, public appearances, press availability, and frequent victories in golf events. President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.

So Trump is staying active not just by golfing regularly, but via his “frequent victories in golf events” (which often take place at Trump’s courses and are self-reported). And according to the president’s self-assessment following the exam, in addition to being physically healthy he has a “good heart. A good soul. Very good soul.”

President Trump on his annual physical at Walter Reed: “I think I did well… I felt I was in very good shape — good heart, a good soul… I wanted to be a little different than Biden. I took a cognitive test, & I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right.” pic.twitter.com/5ee4AZTUap

So ultimately, this latest physical was totally normal for Trump, which is to say kind of weird for anyone else. Nothing to see here! You can go back to stressing about your 401(k).
