The event featured a mass led by Father Luigi Portarulo and remarks from General Alfonso Manzo, Military Adviser to Italy’s UN Mission, who emphasized Italy’s commitment to global peace and the importance of service. Italian Ambassador Maurizio Massari was also in attendance, joining veterans, UN staff, and community members in recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of Italy’s armed forces, past and present.
