The Parkside Group is proud to congratulate our clients on an excellent showing in this year’s primary elections. We successfully defended incumbents, won tough open races, and spearheaded the largest and most successful independent expenditure in New York State.
For each campaign we work on, The Parkside Group provides a personalized combination of services including direct mail, video production, digital and television media buying, survey research, public relations support, and general consulting. We are thrilled to have helped a number of truly incredible candidates secure the Democratic nomination in their races this year.
At the federal level, our three congressional candidates all emerged victorious:
Congressman Tom Suozzi, a longtime client, easily won his primary, taking almost 80% of the vote.
Aaron Gies cruised to victory in New York’s 23rd congressional district in Upstate New York with over 70% of the vote.
Alissa Ellman won decisively in the nearby 24th congressional district, with over 60% of the vote.
In the State Senate, we are proud to have supported long term fighters as well as a new generation of changemakers, including:
Senator Joe Addabbo, who handedly defeated a challenger in SD-15 in Queens, with almost three quarters of the vote.
Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, who won with an almost identical margin in Southern Brooklyn and on Staten Island’s SD-23.
Sarah Rogerson comfortably secured the Democratic nomination in Saratoga’s SD-44
Michael Mills won a close, but decisive victory, in the Rochester area SD-54.
On the State Assembly front, we were proud to help secure victories on behalf of:
Dan Norton, who won the primary for Binghamton’s 123rd Assembly District in the race to replace outgoing Assemblymember Donna Lupardo.
Jon Lipe, who was victorious in Oneida County’s AD-119.
Tim Allers, who appears on track to win an extremely close race in Oswego and Jefferson County’s AD-120, though that race has not yet been called.
With New York Future, the largest independent expenditure in the state focused on the State Legislature, we secured victories in 8 out of 9 districts we invested in. For NY Forward, we helped put candidates over the finish line in 4 out of 4 districts where we invested. Winning campaigns included:
Assemblymember Grace Lee, in the race to fill the open State Senate seat (SD-27) being vacated by Senator Brian Kavanagh
Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi, AD-28
Assemblymember Clyde Vanel, AD-33
Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, AD-39
Assemblymember Jordan Wright, AD-70
Assemblymember Jeffrey Dinowitz, AD-81
Assemblymember Michael Benedetto, AD-82
Assemblymember Patrick Carroll, AD-96
Nathaniel Hezekiah, AD-32
Eli Northrup, AD-69
We are incredibly proud of all of our candidates and look forward to helping them win their general election races in November!
