This year marks three decades of the New York Liberty, one of the original eight teams in the WNBA and the league’s 2024 champions. In honor of their 30th season, the Liberty linked up with New York or Nowhere for a capsule collection featuring seven co-branded pieces that celebrate the team and the city.
Rooted in the team’s history, the collection includes two hoodies, two varsity jackets, sweatpants, a sweater, and a polo, ranging in price from $50 to $375.
Teresa Weatherspoon, a guard with the Liberty from the team’s inception until 2003, is one of the faces of the capsule. Witherspoon, though long retired, remains a major part of the Liberty’s story—a fan favorite whose jersey is everywhere at games.
The Liberty and New York or Nowhere also tapped a group of diehard fans to model the collection, showcasing the team’s generational ties to the city and community.
The Liberty and New York or Nowhere collection goes on sale this Sunday, June 28, at 10 p.m. at the Official Team Store at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
